      Bing Zhang has been deeply involved in the machining process. He once took advantage of the high rotational speed of the machine tool and the sufficient cooling system of the cutting tool to boldly explore the processing method of accelerating the tool path. He set a record of completing the processing of the main drive bearing bracket of the shield machine in just three days, with an efficiency increase of 25%. The workpiece clamping method was innovated, and the auxiliary time was reduced by 23%. We have solved over 20 processing problems, increased processing efficiency by 20%, and reduced tool wear by 100,000 yuan. The successful resolution of processing challenges such as the pin holes of the cutterhead and the shape and position tolerances of the reference surfaces of each segment of the five-segment combined structure hard rock shield machine in the Xinjiang project has ensured the successful combination of the multi-segment combined structure cutterhead in one time, which has become a major highlight of technological innovation in the process. In 2017, he was awarded the May Day Labor Medal of Shenyang.
