Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd.

       Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “NHI”) is a large-scale equipment R&D and manufacturing enterprise under Liaoning Fangda Group Industrial Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Fangda Group”). NHI was founded in 1921, formed through the merger and restructuring of the former Shenyang Heavy Machinery Factory and Shenyang Mining Machinery Factory.

       NHI was the first heavy machinery factory to resume production in New China. It previously provided support for the establishment of CFHI, CNEG, Taiyuan Heavy Industries, Luoyang Mining Machinery Factory, and Shaanxi Metal Rolling Equipment Factory. Known as the “cradle of New China’s heavy machinery industry,” it is a core backbone enterprise in China’s heavy equipment manufacturing sector.

NHI’s core products serve a wide range of industrial sectors and are widely applied in mining, metallurgy, bulk material handling, tunneling engineering, power, building materials and other industries. Meanwhile, the company continues to expand into auto parts, oil fracking, research equipment, and aircraft maintenance, which have become new growth drivers. NHI also has EPC general contracting capability, providing turnkey project services to customers. It holds an important position in the global and domestic heavy machinery manufacturing industry, with products reaching markets worldwide.

Technical Capability

NHI possesses comprehensive capabilities in design, testing, inspection and metrology. It has obtained over 300 patents and won more than 200 national, provincial and municipal science and technology awards. As a national technological innovation demonstration enterprise, NHI has national technology center, state key laboratory of intelligent mining and equipment for deep metal mines, a post-doctoral research station, and the Liaoning provincial professional technology innovation center for large-scale mineral grinding equipment.

Manufacturing Capability

NHI operates more than 3,000 sets of production equipment across 15 modern manufacturing facilities, with a maximum lifting capacity of 500 tonnes.
